Could any one help to write a JCL to find: "How to write Multiple files to single tape file and they can be accessed back with volume serial number and label"

What do you need help with ? you seem to know the correct JCL parms to use.

Why not try it out yourself and let us know if you get any errors that you need help with.

You answered your query your own, when you know the volume no. & label..things are pretty much in control..

BTW, Expat, do we still need labels for Tapes at SMS managed sites ?

Certainly if you are writing more than one file to one tape.

My work doesn't allow "to experiment" with TAPEs so was not sure enough, Thanks again..

Do you want to write them to a single tape file or tape volume(s)?

I'll assume you mean volume. In that case add 1 to the label field for each file (see the JCL manual). If you catalog them you won't need to bother remembering the volser and lable seq#s.
