Hi All,

Could you please clarify me the below queries in IMS.

1. What is the physical nature of a database called?
2. Is it necessary that all the segments in a Dl/I database have key fields ?
3. How man key fields and search fields can a segment have?
4. Is it necessary that the key field in a Dl/I database be unique?
5. How can we distinguish between an online and batch program in IMS environment?
6. Which is the DL/I function used in CICS-IMS program?
7. How does one reorg an HDAM IMS database when changing RAPS (Root Anchor Points)?
8. What do you know about MFS?
9. How many occurrences are allowed for each Segment?How many PCB’s can be coded within a PSB?
10. What are the various IMS systems?
11.What’s the uses of RECON files?
