Hi,

I am trying to update 55 members in a PDS using fileaid 6 options.

For ex: if the existing text as 'file' , i am replacing this with 'guru'

i need this in small caps. But when i tried using fileaid, its updating as 'GURU'. i don't want like this.

How to achieve this?

Guru Prasath
As this is a fileaid question, why have you posted in the COBOL forum ?

You will need to update the ISPF settings of each member to use CAPS OFF.

Topic moved to ISPF.

"small caps" is a font that you may be able to set in your terminal emulator software.
"small" letters also called lower case can be entered in fileaid edit, as in ISPF edit if the profile is set to "CAPS OFF"
"caps" is short for capital also called "upper case letters"
"small caps" (as I believe you intend) is a contradiction of terms.

Please clarify what this means to you.

As Douglas mentioned, "small caps" is a contradiction (at least on a 3270-type device).

Hi,

Lets forgot about the confusion.

My purpose is to replace some text in all the members (which are already there in lower case ), with the same "lower case" letters
Say, if the text reads as:

NODE = (file,pass2004)

I need this as :

NODE = (post,guru0104)

Then do as suggested and use CAPS OFF. . .
