I have probably missed this, so please excuse my poor eyesight, but I cannot seem to find a link anywhere for VSAM return codes.
I tried the Manuals link above, to no avail.
I am struggling with a return code of +0013 when attempting to read a key through a CICS application, but would like to have a reference for future errors as well.
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance! |

Are you getting an EIBRESP code of +13 (which means the record you tried to read is not found), or a FILE STATUS code in COBOL of 13 (not likely since it doesn't exist), or a VSAM extended file status code of 13?
The CICS response codes are found in appendix A.1.1 of the Language Reference guide under the EIBRESP field. |

It was a EIBRESP code of +0013 on a generic read attempt. It turns out that out glorious technical support team decided that they didn't have to bring our test CICS region up any more, so the error code is the result of the region being down and the file being unavailable.
Tech Support - makes about as much sense as Military Intelligence. |
