How to copy records from VSAM to flat file based on a condition...like a condition based on the bytes.

take a look at idcams repro, there are all kinds of parms that you can use.

What does this mean? What condition exactly? You need to state your requirement more clearly. An example of the records in the input file and what you expect for output would help.

DFSORT has many ways to copy records based on a condition, but you have to describe what you're trying to do before anyone can help you.
