Over the years my ispf profile library has become full. I know I can rename the profile library and allocate and copy a new larger dataset. However, is there a way / utility to delete old unused profiles from the profile library?

You can just delete old members using ISPF option 3.1. Any needed members will be rebuilt as you use the applications again.

You should be out of ISPF if you choose to compress the PDS after deleting members.

That's as I expected. Just trying to get some other ideas like if there is a way to check on the last used date of a particular profile. Thanks for the reply.

Not exactly what you are asking for...

The ISPF profiles are just specialized tables. You can use LIBDEF to allocate your profile dataset as ISPTLIB, then use the TBSTATS service for each member to retrieve information about that table. The information retrieved has the create date and date of last update, though not last use date.
