I am looking for details on file transfer program ‘IND$FILE’ that can be issued in CICS on z/OS. I understand IND$FILE in CICS can be used to download the contents of a TSQ to a PC. In this context, I would like to know –
– Are there any reference manuals for IND$FILE?
– Which IBM system library has this executable?
– Can we invoke IND$FILE transaction or program from native CICS screen?
– Considering IND$FILE as a black box, can we get the input & output parameters that this program receives/gives?
Any other details that may be available on IND$FILE is solicited. |

No.

No. IND$FILE can only be invoked by a terminal emulation program. |
