Also wt is mean by
SPACE=(TRK,(300,5),RLSE)? |

The number of bytes on one track depends on the device type
3330 / 3350 / 3380 / 3390
Anuj (I think) posted a link to an IBM page that showed the number of bytes for each of the device types, so it might be worth using the search button at the top of the page to look for that one. |

Just google for 'IBM 3390'. I doubt there are any 3330 / 3350 / 3380 still in use, except maybe in a museum. |

if you have QW (quickref) you can try QW 3380 or QW 3390
Select 3380 IBM DASD DEVICE INFO.
Select 3390 IBM DASD DEVICE INFO.
