I want to copy VSAM file from prod to test region. In test we have to define the file first. I tried defining it through file Manager catalog services. But failed. Can anyone help me out? |

sorry, but the only help we can give You is ....
ask Your support, ask Your peers,
look at Your organization standards for such a task,
look at the manual, hit the pf1 key, ....
without telling the error, nothing more we can do for You |

Look at IDCAMS EXPORT / IMPORT it will take the file definition with the copy.
Although I would have defined it with IDCAMS myself. |

Sorry. The error while trying to define the file using 'file manager' is 'Volume list not defined'. |

I rather hope that you might be able to read the VSAm / IDCAMS manual yourself for that, and the same will help you with your post following this one. |
