We are creating an I/O module to select data from a table, and the suggestion is to use multi row fetch option in DB2 V8.
Is there any minimum row counts required for us to utilize the CPU advantage of Multi row fetch?.
I came to know that optimal value of the number of rows is 100. looks like my application will have a result set less than 100 rows in almost 90% of the attempts. Is it really beneifical to go for Multi row fetch here?
Thanks,

UmeaySan,
Thanks for that nice link!
Eventhough they are claiming that optimal value of multi row fetch is 100, my case is little diffrent here.
In any case my query will have a results set of less than 100 rows, ie I am going to hit a sqlcode of 100 for the first fetch itself if I am using a host variable array of 100. In that case, will that multple row fetch will be really beneficial?
Thanks,
