How to preserve trailing spaces in IEBGENER of VB files

While copying a VB file using IEBGENER the space characters at the end of the records are getting truncated. How can we preserve the record as it is.

Explain exactly what you mean and how you know the spaces are disappearing.

Are you using EDIT and then browse to look at the file ?

when using edit, before you save, PRESERVE ON.

edit will truncate things, sometimes.

but as Craig and expat said, iebgener only truncates to the output dcb. if you used a correct dcb for your output, nothing was truncated.
