Replace symbolics in a file - Rexx in Batch mode

I am running Rexx in batch mode.

1. Input is PDS file member
2. Have many symbolics to replace
3. Output is a PDS file member

(many such input and output files passed to Rexx)

Help me with some pointers on the ways to replace the symbolics.

It's not entirely clear what exactly you want to do here. I'd think that you'd want to EDIT the data, but again, it's hard to be more specific.
