We know that once a job abends we can see it by typing CA7. My question is from where does the command get name of jobs abended? Is there a list or table where the job names get stored?

This appears to be a question regarding the internals of CA7, which I am sure that not very many people here are qualified to answer.

However, like most schedule packages CA7 uses the SMF data to track events such as job abends etc., but where CA7 then stores that information I do not know, but if CA7 is bounced then the data is still there so I would theorise that it is stored somewhere in a DASD file.

CA-7 has an internal database used to store this type of data. If you need more information, contact your site systems programmer for assistance -- the name of the database is a site installation parameter.
