To replace multiple records by different values in a file

Hi,

I have an Input file with recordsR1, R2,R3 Which I want to replace by R11,R22,R33 respectively in teh same file.Can any one help me out with the sort step for that.

R1--->R11
R2--->R22
R3--->R33.

nehadixit25,

You are replacing a 2 digit value with a 3 digit value. Do you want the data to be moved or overlaid?

What is the position of the data to be replaced?
