How can we define a KSDS VSAM file using Easytrieve with attributes like Free space, Control interval size, record size etc. ? |

You can allocate a KSDS using either IDCAMS, or coding the JCL statements required - See the JCL reference manual.
You can use Easytrieve to generate the IDCAMS statements and then dynamically invoke IDCAMS to actually perform the definition. Something I have done a few times but using REXX instead of Easytrieve. |

thanks expat
Ya, You are right. We can do this through IDCAMS. But do you have any idea, how can we do the same using Easytrive File statement or Can we call IDCAMS through Easytrieve code ?
If Yes, please give one example also. |

I have not used Easytrieve in more than 25 years now, so would not have a clue about the use of the file statement.
Although IDCAMS should be callable via Easytrieve |
