hi,
i have insereted a record into the table using load utility. I got below
info in SYSPRINT.
BUILD PHASE STATISTICS - NUMBER OF KEYS=6269 FOR INDEX SCHEMANAME.INDEXNAME PART 13
Is PART 13 is referring to partition 13? what is NUMBER OF KEYS
refers to?

Yes it referring to partition 13. Index entrties are referred as KEYs.
Each entry is nothing but a subset of the row/record present in table.

Could you please elaborate on your reponse? what is subset of row?
I think the index keys are stored separately, if yes where its storeed.

Index is a subset of record.
For example:
Your table is having 10 columns and your index is defined on 3 columns.
Then for every record in table, the index will store one KEY with 3 columns.
