Hi,
We are in the process of migrating the contents of a IMS DB to a new IMS HIDAM DB. Since the volume of Data is too high we are planning to load the data into various temporary DB datasets and then concatenate them into the original DB dataset. Could you please let me know whether this approach would be feasible and efficient?
Also it would be great if there are better suggestions.
Thanks in advance, |

Can you tell us the current organisation of the database and are you planning to use utilities to perform this operation ?
Thanks

We are unlaoding the required field from a HIDAM database and loading it into our new HIDAM DB using COBOL programs. We are not using any utilities. |

Hi,
We have unloaded the data into around 20 temporary DB datasets using DLI jobs. What would be the best approach to concatenate all these 20 into the original DB dataset? |
