my jcl contain 255 steps. in step225 i am calling one proc which also contain 255 steps .
Question is : whether the job will abend or not. |

Will it abend or not even start - JCL ERR?
Abend is not a loose term - it is a very specific IBM-defined term. |

JCL is another term which seems to have been expanded by this forum. |

job will not submitted; max limit reached(max 255)
max limit includes proc steps also |

Dick, do we even want to visit the GDG generation versus version issue?
A lot of the relatively inexperienced newcomers on this forum use terms as they wish, either not realizing or not caring that the terms they use have specific, precise meanings. And these meanings are usually not how they are using the term. Sigh. |
