Hi ponnu116 !
There's a super third-party-tool from HORIZONT: OPC-Graph.
Without that, we had been unable to manage about 2400 SAP-Jobs every night, some years ago.
Also HORIZONT has some other useful add-ons for OPC. |

The manuals will not be useful unless you have the product.
Look here for info:

how we can extract job schedule for an application through OPC |
Recently I wrote a couple of small programs which should do exactly this job and it works fine.
It's a little bit tricky and also time consuming to develop, but for production management and documentation very useful.
1. REXX to build data base loads for job dependencies, external schedule dependencies and all run time information. All these information are taken from a daily OPC Report download on the mainframe.
2. I load the records into mysql on a PC and run a couple of perl scripts.
3. For each schedule I use GraphViz to create the flow chart. The best way to do it, is to use the postscript format.
4. As last step I create from each ps file a big one, which contains all schedules from the selected mainframe image.
Now I can convert it to pdf, which is suitable format for your purpose. It is scalable, printable, I have links for each external dependency and you use the text search to find any job or application.
On this way I build several PDF documents for different images in total or more than 70.000 schedules.

Could you please share the REXX code which builds data base loads for job dependencies, external schedule dependencies and all run time information. ??
Thanks in advance. |

resurrecting a five years old post asking for a five year old tool most probably will not yield any useful result
and even then probably the tool is covered by some company IP
so the chances of getting it are pretty slim |
