Those you using Quick 3270 to connect mainframe , How you are using UNDO Operation.. PLease send me some keyboard mapping file or keys to perform UNDO operation..

I study the below article from the Quick 3270 Manual they mention UNDO cannot be perfomed..

Restrictions with Home3270 Attachment
When you use the Home3270 attachment, the following edit functions are

Restricted:

Undo function:
You cannot perform the Undo function after using the Cut, Paste,
PasteNext, or Clear functions because these functions modify display
areas in the protocol converter

Please help me..

I am not an user of quick 3270, but...

Only certain keys, such as Enter or PF keys, will send data from the emulator to the mainframe. Other keys, such as letters or numbers only makes changes on the emulator display. These data changes are not sent to the mainframe until Enter or PF key is pressed.

If you modify data on the emulater screen, ISPF does not know what you did until you press Enter (or perhaps use PF keys). If you modify the screen data, you should be able to press Enter to tell ISPF of the changes, AND then issue the UNDO command.

OR if you do a CUT or PASTE that you wish you had not done, use the PA2 key to discard your emulator screen and refresh it from what ISPF knows. On PCOMM, PA2 requires a right-click.

to do what ???

from your explanation it looks like you are trying to do something You are not allowed to, and blame the emulator for it

my understanding is that You are trying to use the ISPF UNDO command
after an emulator cut and paste...

ISPF UNDO is structured to UNDO changes made to thing being edited since the last time enter was pressed

a cut and past operation is an action hat leaves things hanging until You press the enter key,
from a 3270 protocol point of view You have modified the screen,
but no attention was presented to the the host and the modified data was not transferred to the host

You can use ISPF undo only if the edit data on the screen has not been modified

I just tested and it is easy to check that the same behavior ( without cutting and pasting )
... start modifying things and in the command field type UNDO
You will get the short message UNDO not allowed
if You press PF1
You will get the long message UNDO is not allowed when data changes are pending.

so it is not an emulator issue but rather a misunderstanding of the data and interrupt flow

Thanks for the quick response . ..

My question regarding UNDO is ..

Ex
If pasted some thing in the quick 3270 screen using CNTL + V it passed on Line number also ,then if need to cancel the paste content ,, type undo on the command line.. It some error because of wrong content in the line.. What i need is In Word file, CNTL V will Paste the content and If you press CNTL Z it will undo .similar anything avaliable to use for Quick 3270

You are mixing up things...
Your 3270 emulator ( and most of them ) will not allow as per docs
a &local undo ( ctrl-z ) after a paste operation fullstop
nothing You nor us can do anything about

... then You try to type undo in the command line ( You say it )
read my explanation of the why You cannot do it at that stage of screen interaction

nobody can help You, apart explaining the reason why what You ask cannot be done

the only way is to use the PA2 key,
will undo all the changes made to the screen
( will restore the screen to the aspect of the last output operation )

tested ![/b]

If the manual says you cannot do it, why bother asking us how to do it?
