Hi ,
Apart from command "TALLY" are there any command in File-aid option 3.8 TALLY is used to count the number of records in the file...
so let me know if any other command used in this option...

Hello,
What would you like to do that TALLY does not do?
You could also count records using DFSORT in batch. |

oh I think you ppl have mistaken my question...apart from COMMAND TALLY in file id what are all the other commands available in file for 3.8 option?
if any other command used in this option... ?

Hello,
I guess no such command in FILE-AID, you can browse the data set do scroll up and scroll down, in left hand side you can find the total number of records once you reach the end of the data set. |

I am not asking you how to find the total number of records in the file
just like TALLY Command are there any commands in file-aid 3.8 option?
that is my question...not how to find the total number of records....

It is doubtful that anyone yet understands your question and i'm not sure you have the answer you requested.
