Hi !
Contact your operating to re-rout your output.

Hi UmeySan !
Thanks for your suggestion.
I don’t want to ask operator for it because we want to stop printer output only for Testing. After testing we have to print it...
Thanks,

Hi, are you using CMA-Spool ?
Then you can control it by yourself. Otherwise the operating has to detach
the printer-device.

How is the routing to printer done? is it like SYSOUT=(printername) or something like that. In which case just amend it to SYSOUT=* so that the reports get written in to the spool and not to the printer. |

Routing of print is like SYSOUT=Printername and currently we are making it to SYSOUT=*...
our JCLS having SYSOUT=Printername many times and making changes at all the line is time taking and we cant use 'Change ALL' because printername are not same at all time.
Is there is any other way to stop printing (Not ask operator and SYSOUT=*)
Thanks,

So you want to keep
SYSOUT=Printername and still do not want to print?
I do not think that is possible without changing the reference to the Printername which again is sytem specific and configured by the system administrators.
Best bet will be to do "c all printername *" on your jcls before submiting or, if you are using cataloged procs, copy ur proclib to a new test location and modify all of them and use for testing. |
