How that key reacts when it is held down depends on you window system setup and the terminal emulator you are using. |

Probably. . .

Look at the online help for your 3270-emulator software, the documentation for same, or ask the support group from that software vendor. |

Hi,
Might be checking "mapping" of keys in your emulator help further. At my shopWhenever I'm alloted a new PC, I need to "map" the keyboard as per my preferences. |

Hi,
In most of the emulators the ENTER purpose is solved by CTRL key by default. We need to map the properties of these two key for serving the ENTER purpose.
Ultimately its mapping of the keyboard to the MF functions. |

I the emulator I use, if I want a key to repeat, I have to go in and look at the keyboard mapping. The one we use has the following as its default mapping
Big Enter is mapped to <Enter>
Little Enter is mapped to <enter>
Based on that I and some other people, I found that if the first character in the mapping for the key determines whether or not it can repeat. Lower case repeats, uppercase does not. So... I had to remap my F8 key from <Pf8> to <pf8> so I could hold it down to page down. |
