In endevor
if a program is retireved(signout) from the production region to test region ,will all the copy books also gets retrieved or do we need to retrieve them reperatly

In JCL
how do you identify the given dateset is a VSAM or PS by looking at the JCl , becouse we give DISP = OLD for all of them,

Can JCLPREP or JEM help us in this scenorio

Hi,

1. When you retrieve any source from any of the regions only source is retrieved and not the copybooks. You need to retrieve the copy books
explicitly.

2. I am not very sure about the second question as till date I am not aware of any identifier by which you can identify if a dataset is PS or VSAM simply by looking in the JCL.

regards,
David.
