How to recover an uncataloged dataset?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to recover an uncataloged dataset?

first of all You have to find out the VOLUME
after that things are different if it is a VSAM cluster or not...

in case of a vsam cluster the procedure is a bit complicated
and a few things to be researched for getting a complete answer on a forum

for a PS or PDS
You can use an idcams define nonsam blah... blah...
or from a 3.4 list put a C in front of the dataset

How do you backup your system?

If you have HSM, issue HRECOVER command.
