Hi,
In Endevor we can browse the members but can not edit. Can someone Plz suggest me how to copy the member in my own PDS for editing.
I donot want to use any of the endevor options for this.
Thanks & Regards |

I think this works and i remember I have tried this also.
When you open a component in endevour, on top of it a dataset name is displayed. Without coming out of it, open another screen and try to open the dataset which is displayed. It should open in view mode and you can copy it into your own PDS.
Pls try n let me know!
Thanks

1. when you set your endevor options, select view instead of browse.
then you can modify the member and save it to your pds.
2. do a direct copy (ISPF 3.3) from the pds that stores the endevor production sources.
3. if you are using the module as a base for a new module, ok. otherwise you should use the retrieve option and then sign-in the module.
HINT: if you try to get too slick with endevor it will make life miserable for you. |

rupinder,
In my shop, we open the component in the browse mode using endevor and then issue VI which changes the mode from browse to view. This should be site-specific and you can also create such a type of maccro which would be helpful. |
