Hi,
While taking backup of gdg's (generation to generation copy) can we change the lrecl of the backed up generations.
Say input GDG has 5 generation with each having same or different lrecl. Can i back up it a output GDG also having 5 generations with lrecl 80.

a backup is just that.. an exact image of the input dataset
one thing strikes me...
why in &heaven gdg generations have different lrecl' s |
