How do I define a Signed Comp-3 field in Quikjob?

In the manuals, it is mentioned to use a '-P' for comp-3 fields but does it take care of the sign as well? If not, what should be the definition of Signed Comp-3 field?

Hello Garima and welcome to the forums,

While i'm not familiar with quickjob, every product i've used that supports packed-decimal (comp-3) data takes care of the sign. Packed-decimal data is pretty much worthless without the sign. . .

I'd suggest you look at the product documentation (which is available for free from CA support if your organization is licensed to use the product.

Thanks Dick. I tried with the definition -P alongwith in the Quikjob for a field to write a file. It is not working as expected.

If you post your jcl & code, sample input data, what you want for output from that data, and what you are actually getting, we may be able to offer suggestions.
