Hi,
Is there any way to logon the mainframe immediately after disconnecting (without logoff).

Generally how much time it will take to Relogon?

R's,
Prema.

Hi ,

You can check the Reconnect Option on login screen and you would be able to recoonnect to Mainframes. You can do instantly as soon as you are disconnected. It will restore all the screens that were open.

If i understand your question, you can simply restart the terminal emulator (if you inadvertently closed the window) and if the mainframe did not see the disconnect, you will come back in your session.

If you have gotten to the READY prompt and want to return to tso/ispf, enter LOGON and proceed. You may have a RECONNECT selection available on your logon panel.

If you are able to reconnect to your session, it is immediate. If a new session has to be established, it will take however long your normal logon takes.

I have tried this. But the message "TSO LOGON RECONNECT REJECTED XYXY13 ID IS IN USE" is displayed and again the session is getting disconnected.

Please help me.

Hi,

You need to get your ID PURGEd via some of your team mate under the same RACF group.

Command is
Code:
TSO OPSCMD  C U=RACFID
at some sites this is not permitted, at my shop in testing LPAR I can use it but not in production.

premdev,

The standard TSO LOGON panel has an option to specify RECONNECT for these situations. Describe your LOGON process.

If memory serves, this sometimes happens when your "new" session attaches to a different "terminal id" than the "lost" session. The system does not recognize that the "reconnect" is valid because the "other" terminal session is still active.

When this happens, someone needs to cancel your session. Or, if you wait long enough, the session will probably "time out" icon_smile.gif
