Suppose i have 8 lines. and i start reading lines from 1 to 4 and again i want to go on first line. what cmnd shud be used for that

Nothing in your question mentions any CA product, but you have posted in the CA section of the forum. Might this be Easytrieve?
Basically, you cannot "go back" and re-read some number of lines in a qsam file. What you can do is store a few lines in working storage and then use them when you reach a "break" record.
Is this another version of your question about how to append lines? |
