Did you look up the error in the Messages & Codes Manual (linked to via the "IBM Manuals" link at the top of the page). The info is pretty straight forward but if it is not clear, please post what you don't understand from the manual and someone will be able to clarify.

Also, if you post some question about what the manual says, you also need to post the jcl from the problem step.

It'll be interesting to see what the storage gurus have to say. I was under the impression that SMS is supposed to virtually eliminate B37 abends.

The SMS setup varies from site to site. The ability to counter Sx37 abends depends entirely on how the routines and classes have been set up.
