hi all,
i got the following error while logging in to the forum.
have a look.....
 Could not obtain topic information
DEBUG MODE
SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id' at line 4
SELECT t.*, t.title_compl_infos, f.forum_name, f.forum_status, f.forum_id, f.auth_view, f.auth_read, f.auth_post, f.auth_reply, f.auth_edit, f.auth_delete, f.auth_sticky, f.auth_announce, f.auth_pollcreate, f.auth_vote, f.auth_attachments, f.auth_download, t.topic_attachment, f.auth_ban, f.auth_greencard, f.auth_bluecard FROM phpbb_topics t, phpbb_forums f WHERE t.topic_id = AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id

two times i got this error, but later i could logon. |

hello guys,
please pardon me for writing in the same post....
i got the above error again this morning ....
after two or three times i was able to login 
is this problem related to my PC ? or what should i do? |

Its a syntax error happened due to a security method implemented in the forum.
It happened because you visited the "forum" as a Guest and tried to visit a "topic" from a User-only forum (like IBM/CA/Compuware Tools), as a User using an invalid/expired/hacked session ID(from your system cookie) .
Unfortunately we cant assign a topic ID for guests as it affects the security of the forum.
It will not happen, if you visit the forum(not only the topic) as a User or in 'Always On' mode.
Anyway we will try to issue some warning message instead of this syntax error. |
