want to know how long a userid log in the system, because i want to write a job to collect some user's log on time. Could i?

Hello,
You can get the info you want from SMF data.
I'd suggest you talk with your system support people and ask if there is already something in place to extract smf data that you could then use as input to some reporting process. |
