I defined a gdg base.
if I coded: delete gdg1.base gdg purge,
delete succeeded.
But when I defined a gdg base and some gdg files,
if I code: delete gdg1.base gdg purge,
delete failed.
If I code:
delete gdg1.base.*
delete gdg1.base gdg purge
delete succeeded.
So I thinked the first statement was used for deleting gdg files, and the second statement was used for deleting gdg base.
Can I delete gdg base and gdg files in only one statement?
What is The statement?

Take a look at the IDCAMS manual for the DELETE command, and you can easily find the required syntaxt to do what you want.
