It is possible, but not with Cobol alone.
I know that WAS running on a mainframe can have connection built to a SQL Server through java libraries. I am assuming a batch java program could also do the same thing using the Microsoft drivers in some fashion. |

To breif my requirement:
The DB is presentmy sybase and there are certain jobs which are excuetd to process data in sybase. Now Sybase is migrated to SQL server in Windows. We would like to use the same jobs for processing the data in SQL server as well.
So is it possible. If yes, what will be the best way to do it.
Thanks |

You can't unless you can find someone who wrote a SQL Server connector for a mainframe. I have looked a few times and never found one. I don't think it is going to work. |
