Hi,

I am trying to access a VSAM file using a 18 byte key. But unfortunately only the last 6 bytes of the key is known to me. If i try to acces the VSAM file using that partial key will it create any problems?

Thanks

The only access you can do will be a sequential scann of the entire file. Generic keys are only built from the leading bytes.....
