How do i convert a date field s9(8) comp-3 to 9(6) in my unload card itself? |

It would also be helpful to know what format the date is in and what format you want it in (mmddyy, yymmdd, or ddmmyy etc)? |

If the comp-3 date is 20080215 it will not fit into the target field. . . . How should that be handled? |

The date format is(mmddyy) and i dont need a change in the date format.
My requirement is to unload from a table using a query and in that itself to convert the data type format. |
