Hi,

i have to access an IMS database for different Hierarchical paths,
Does one PCB suffice in the PSB definition for this access?

ex:
A---> B & C (children of A)
B---> D
A---> E.

In one IMS call i will be accessing A,B,C. and in another IMS call
i will access A,E.

Please direct if we can find answer to this in this site.

Regards,
Sasi Kiran Patha.

If you just remember that whenever you issue a call against 1 PCB, you lose your prior POSITION if that call is successful. When you issue your pathcall, you will be positioned at the last segment in the path retrieved.

You can define mulitple PCBs in your PSB for that database. This will allow you multiple positions. HOWEVER, you must be very careful.
