Hi,
Can anyone pls help me out with ICEMAN utility and the Control Card statement
OPTION COPY
OUTFIL NODETAIL,REMOVECC,
TRAILER1=(COUNT=(M11,LENGTH=15))
Wat might be this performing. I know it takes will pull out only the Header and Trailer only but somewhat confused about REMOVECC and other parameters. It will be really great if someone can provide a document which provides a detailed explanation about the tool

And yeah,
In Your example:
- REMOVECC removes ANSI control characters from the report.
- NODETAIL prevents detail records from being written to OUTFIL.
- M11 specifies one of twenty-seven pre-defined edit masks (M0-M26) for presenting numeric data.
- TRAILER1 Specifies the report trailer to be used for the reports produced for this OUTFIL group.
However, all these details are well described in above links. |

Sushil,
If you're not familiar with DFSORT and DFSORT's ICETOOL, I'd suggest reading through "z/OS DFSORT: Getting Started". It's an excellent tutorial, with lots of examples, that will show you how to use DFSORT, DFSORT's ICETOOL and DFSORT Symbols. You can access it online, along with all of the other DFSORT books, from:
