Hi,
If i have a dataset of Cobol Program and when i do profile on.. i get .. this.
....SRC (FIXED - 80)....RECOVERY OFF....NUMBER ON STD COB...............
....CAPS ON....HEX OFF....NULLS OFF....TABS OFF....SETUNDO STG..........
....AUTOSAVE ON....AUTONUM OFF....AUTOLIST OFF....STATS ON..............
....PROFILE UNLOCK....IMACRO NONE....PACK OFF....NOTE ON................
....HILITE COBOL CURSOR FIND............................................
But for a JCL also iam getting the same.So the JCL is some what greyed out for the first few columns thinkign the content as Cobol source code.
How do i make it permanently
....SRC (FIXED - 80)....RECOVERY OFF....NUMBER ON STD COB...............
....CAPS ON....HEX OFF....NULLS OFF....TABS OFF....SETUNDO STG..........
....AUTOSAVE ON....AUTONUM OFF....AUTOLIST OFF....STATS ON..............
....PROFILE UNLOCK....IMACRO NONE....PACK OFF....NOTE ON................

I need your help in getting the command to make a profile permanent for a dataset

Maybe you want to set HILITE AUTO and it will switch back and forth as the data changes from source to JCL.
If you set HILITE JCL, it should stay that way for all data under profile SRC(FIXED-80).
