hi guys i have two variables:

A pic s9(9) comp-3.
B pic s9(9)v comp-3.

now when i move A to B i am getting SOC7. can ne 1 hlp me in movin the data????

The move is probably a ZAP (zero and add packed) which will data exception if the from field does not have valid sign and digit codes. In other words, you have garbage in A.
