The maxm limit in mainframe is 248 days for a particular job. |

Depend on your personal setting, on the time you specify within the job or that is specified in your system scheduler as OPC(i.e TIME parameter in JCL, or DeadTime in OPC) |

If you specifies TIME=MAXIMUM. It can run for 357912 Minutes. which is bit more than 248 days.

The manual also says that TIME=1440 OR TIME=NOLIMIT will allow unlimited execution. It also says that a limit can be set thru SMF and if that limit is reached the step enters a wait state until the pgmr specified time limit is reached. at such point the step is abnormally terminated.
The short ans is READ THE MANUAL. |
