Hi
I have encountered the following error while building alternate index.
'IDC3201I CONSTANT 'G90717.LIBY.KSDS.CLU' EXCEEDS LENGTH LIMIT'.The position of keys and record size is correct, I am able to define and create path for the aix, only when I try to build I am getting the above error.
Kindly advise.
Thanks for your time. |

there could many reasons for the message..
many of them depend on the maintenance applied
for example You might be trying to define a cluster with a primary quantity
greater than the space available on the volume...
or
the list of the candidate volumes is longer than the supported maximum
I might be wrong but I seem to remember an apar quoting the error message
when more than 20 candidate volumes were specified
If You post the relevant jcl and the relevant jes output
we might try to be more helpful |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. The corresponding JCL is present in the attachment .In the first step it is defining the alternate index and creates path .But while trying to build alternate index ,it is giving the following error .
ERROR:
IDC3201I CONSTANT 'G90717.LIBC.KSDS.CLU' EXCEEDS LENGTH LIMIT
OUTFILE(G90717.LIBC.KSDS.AIX)
IDC3202I ABOVE TEXT BYPASSED UNTIL NEXT COMMAND. CONDITION CODE IS 12
IDC0002I IDCAMS PROCESSING COMPLETE. MAXIMUM CONDITION CODE WAS 12
Kindly help me on this JCL error or if you are having JCL for the same ,u can send it to me with the input data. |
