Hi,
I have uncataloged an dataset,for which i know only the DSN. I don't have Volume Serial no. I have gone through previous posting also where i can't find the solution for it.Please give me a solution for it ASAP because i have to recover it before EOD.

Hi,
Please do this,
As u know the dataset name. Go to 3.2 option there give the data set name, as the dataset is not in the system catalog shows all the attributes allocated for the particular dataset. And get the volume serial and afterwards u know the procedure to get the data set in the same position. |

Talk to your storage people to get a listing of the tapes, and you can find the dsn from there.
If they have not processed the TMS housekeeping since your uncat, then the tape will not be over written |
