| My requirement is to search for a string in a PDS. If any member of the PDS has that string, then I need to modify another numeric field in the same row(need to convert it to '5' if that field is '4'). Can anyone help me regarding the same? |

Take a look at the ISPF Edit Macro manual.
That will tell you exactly how to do it. |

Format of a member...
00001 NFS-DEW 4 30 45 9000
00002 CAPGEMIN 5 31 99 9128
00003 NFS-DEW 5 33 33 7892
Here I have to replace the bold '4' with '5' if 'NFS-DEW' is present(00001 record). In the 00003 record I do not need to replace as it is already '5' |
