Hi All,
I've a statement in JCL
VIOCTL DD DSN=ACTIVATE,VOL=REF=SYS1.LINKLIB,
DISP=SHR,AMP='AMORG'
Can anyone tell me what this means?
I read that ACTIVATE is related to bufferpools..
But not clear...
Please comments...
Thanks,
Anand |

I can not find any reference to ACTIVATE in the JCL reference manual.
As DSN= procedes ACTIVATE, I can only assume that someone wants to use a dataset called that. |

Hello,
I'd suggest you talk with your system support people or possibly the storage management people.
One use of a VIOCTL DD is to improve vsam performance thru a product (IIRC) called VIOPLUS. |
