Hi,
Can anybody help me out in this. I had this in an interview.
How to scan a JCL for syntax errors & without submitting the JOB and without using TYPRUN=SCAN.

Hi Ajay,
After writing the JCL in the command line you can type JSCAN or JEM in the command line and then press enter...then you can see the sytax errors. |

Hi Ajai,
We can scan the JCL for any syntax errors using TYPRUN=SCAN in the jobcard. Apart from this, some separate products like JJ and !JCK are there.
If we enter these command in the command prompt, it will check for syntax error in the JCL. That is installation dependent. |
