Hi All,
I have a FTP jcl which is failing in the PUT step. After a careful analysis, I noticed that PUT is considering numbers in 72 to 80 columns as its paramaeters and its failing. I tried to delete these numbers by setting NUM OFF and added back to ENDEVOR. But ENDEVOR is adding back these numbers again. Is there any way that I can add a member with out these numbers in 72 to 80 coulumn?
Thanks

Hi Amith,
Please do confirm the type of component you are adding to the endevor.
eg. for control cards it can be CTC (specific to the shop )
If you are adding with correct type. I would suggest to edit the component once again and do num off and process by deleting seq. numbers in 72-80 what you did before editing.
Please let me know if it works for you.
Thanks,
Santosh. |

ENDEVOR onscreen defines of DATA TYPE has an option in there to specify the columns recognised as data, e.g. 1-72 for Cobol, but often 1-80 for rexx or pure data.
If you change the definition to 1-80 then Endevor will not resequence the lines with numbers in 73-80. |

Correction - not DATA TYPE, rather ELEMENT TYPE. |
