The error code belongs to a unsuccessful Visual Basic Run time component installation. You can run the Abend assist in vista, if you have pre-installed the VB runtime libraries before installing the Abend Assist: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7B9BA261-7A9C-43E7-9117-F673077FFB3C&displaylang=en#Requirements

If you have these libraries in your Vista, try to install the Abend assist application as an administrator. In Vista, even when logged into an administrative account, you may need to right-click SETUP.EXE and choose "Run as administrator".

If nothing works, extract the attached zip file to your System32 folder (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32). Then type the following in the Run command. (Start Menu/Run)

Regsvr32 SENXPCTL.ocx

No, we don't sell the CDs in shops. You have to order online at http://mainframesindia.com

Sorry to ask you again. But I just had one question, why the "Master mainframes cd pack" does not work in USA?
the question I had becos, I will be visiting to India for few months and I would like to purchase some books and software CD's there. And I am mainframe professional, hence I am interested to buy this pack,when I come there. Cant I carry this along with me and use it in USA or any other country where ever I am going? I would want to keep this pack with me forever to brush my mainframe skills.

I believe "pack" is not region specific - what OS you are trying to run the "pack"? I know, 'am not the right person to comment here however . . .

No, some of the software in the CD Pack may not work in Vista. And we have no plan to release & support a Vista compatible version. But we are working now to release the next version to be compatible with Windows 7.

It will work in USA. but you won't find the CDs useful as many of the software products like Companies Corner, Interview Box, Teach yourself and Trainers kit are written for the Mainframers/Job Seekers in India.

So we recommend you to buy the Software pack if you are not in India.

Will be after the official release of Windows 7.

It will work on any Windows Operating system other than Windows ME and Vista.

Hi Mac,
I want to buy Mainframe Ver 6.

1.Can you please let me know if you are going to release any newer version in near future. So that I can wait and buy the newer one which will help me to use the updated Version as its very difficult for me to again pay for newer version.

2. Can I install the emulators in Vista OS and work on it for my learing purpose.

3. If I find any difficulties in installing the Emulators or Simulators given in the CD will anyone from your team help me in guding me to install it.

4. If I will place a E-Cheque order today then how many days will it take for the CDs to be delivered to my Address (Berhampur,ORISSA).

Note: I have tried to send a PM to Macmillan but it seems its not going
Please reply back as I want to buy it ASAP.

Dont worry, it will take at least one year for the Windows 7 release: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7

Windows Vista is designed for Gamers and we highly recommend you to switch back to XP, if you are a programmer. Our Emulators may work in Vista, but we don't provide any support on Vista.

Yes, we will provide installation support on the listed operating systems, but don't expect any programming support.

If you have Vista, some of the products like Simulators and Emulators in the CD Pack may not work. But I am sure all our Training materials will work in Vista.


If you have Windows 7, you can run all the Software products of our CD Pack through the Virtual XP mode of Windows 7: http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/xp_mode_pre_shots.asp

Also do not buy our CD Pack only for the simulators, as they are available Free.
