In my project the applications have been migrated to DB2 from VSAM but still few vsam are being used .Please help me understand what could be the reason behind using vsam parallel to db2. |

Hello,
Many vsam files/systems continue to be used - even in "db2" shops.
I'd suggest you ask your management why some vsam was converted to db2 while some was left as vsam. |

I think the vsam which is mostly read and updated very rarely remains unconverted rest is converted to DB2. can this be a reason. |

Hello,
Possibly.
Another might be that more concurrent data sharing was needed and DB2 handles multiple online and batch users better than vsam. |
